Today a game between Manchester United and Liverpool FC was supposed to happen until Green and Gold fans ran on the pitch before the game protesting the Glazers (Owners of Manchester United), while waving Green and Gold flares. What is it these fans want...
The Green and Gold fans are Manchester United fans who protest the ownership of the club by the Glazers, Their Motto is "Green and Gold till the club is sold!". Protests have been getting strong after the Super League idea which would give the Glazers 4,500,000,000 dollars ($4.5 Billion) upon entry which would in no shape or form help the club itself and would ruin the regular footballing pyramid and they would get 500,000,000 dollars ($500 Million) for the TV rights.
Now the Green and Gold are stronger then every and are asking for 1 of 2 outcomes :
The fans get a 51% stake at the club
The Glazers sell the club
Its up to the Glazers now
Since then the game has been postponed because of the security concerns. Meanwhile the game does not have a new date.
